1. Scope of Application

These Terms of Use govern the use of the platform wedset.app, accessible at https://wedset.app. The platform is operated by:

By registering and using the platform, you agree to these Terms of Use.

2. User Groups

The platform is intended for:

  • Private individuals planning their wedding and related events
  • Vendors and service providers offering their services in connection with weddings
  • Guests invited by users who may access specific shared areas and contribute content (e.g., photos or comments)

3. Registration and Accounts

  • Use of the platform requires registration.
  • Users must provide truthful and complete information when registering.
  • Each user may only create one account. Accounts are non-transferable.
  • Access is granted via email address and password. Users must keep their login credentials confidential and protected from unauthorized access.

4. Contract Formation and Right of Withdrawal

  • A user agreement is established when a user registers or subscribes to a paid plan.
  • Consumers have a 14-day statutory right of withdrawal when subscribing to a paid plan. Specific withdrawal instructions are provided during the checkout process.

5. User Obligations

  • The platform must be used in accordance with applicable law and these Terms.
  • Users may not upload or distribute content that violates the rights of third parties or legal provisions.
  • Vendors are solely responsible for the content and services they provide.
  • Users indemnify wedset.app from any third-party claims resulting from unlawful use of the platform.
  • Users who allow their guests to contribute content (e.g., photos) are responsible for ensuring that no illegal content is uploaded.

6. Third-Party Services

wedset.app uses third-party services for certain features:

  • Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. for payment processing. Stripe Terms also apply.
  • Hetzner Online GmbH as hosting provider. Data is stored on servers located in Germany.

7. Paid Services and Payment Terms

  • wedset.app is a paid service. Upon registration, users automatically receive a four-week trial period with full access to all features. No payment method is required during the trial.

  • After the trial, account access is restricted unless a subscription is purchased and a valid payment method is added. Platform management features become inaccessible until a paid plan is activated. Existing content remains available but cannot be managed.

  • Invited guests (e.g., wedding attendees) retain access to shared features like invitations and photo albums, regardless of the account status of the inviting user.

  • Current pricing, plans, and features are transparently displayed during the ordering process.

  • Payments are processed via Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.. Stripe's terms and conditions apply.

  • Users are responsible for maintaining valid payment methods and sufficient funds. In case of payment failure or delay, access to paid features may be restricted.

  • Additional premium features (e.g., design options or vendor tools) may be charged separately. Users are notified of such charges in advance.

8. Technical Requirements

To use the platform, users need:

  • A modern internet-enabled device (desktop, tablet, or smartphone)
  • A current browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari)
  • Enabled cookies and JavaScript wedset.app does not guarantee full functionality on outdated or unsupported systems.

9. License to Uploaded Content

  • Users and their invited guests grant wedset.app a non-exclusive, worldwide, and unlimited license to reproduce, display, and make available the content they upload (e.g., photos, text), insofar as necessary to operate the platform.
  • wedset.app reserves the right to remove content that violates legal provisions or these Terms.

10. Platform Availability

  • wedset.app strives to ensure uninterrupted access to the platform.
  • However, no guarantee is given for permanent availability. Technical maintenance or updates may temporarily affect availability.

11. Data Processing & Privacy

  • Information on the collection and use of personal data is provided in our Privacy Policy.
  • wedset.app processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and relevant laws.

12. Prohibited Conduct and Content

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Illegal, offensive, racist, pornographic, or otherwise inappropriate content
  • Spam, mass emails, or other unsolicited communication
  • Technical interference or manipulation of the platform
  • Unauthorized commercial use without prior approval from wedset.app

  • wedset.app accepts no responsibility for the accuracy, legality, or quality of content provided by users, vendors, or guests.
  • In cases of slight negligence, wedset.app is only liable for breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal duties), and only for foreseeable damages.

15. Changes to the Terms of Use

wedset.app reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Changes will be announced at least 14 days in advance on the platform. Continued use without objection constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
  • The exclusive place of jurisdiction, to the extent legally permissible, is Münster (Westfalen), Germany.

17. Online Dispute Resolution

The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution:

We are not willing or obliged to participate in a dispute resolution procedure before a consumer arbitration board.

18. Severability Clause

If any provision of these Terms is or becomes invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
