Turkish wedding planning Whole families, several celebrations. wedset keeps count.

Kına, Nişan, Düğün

Every celebration with its own circle.

The Kına often has different guests than the big celebration, and a second Düğün in Turkey in the summer has its own again. Each invitation includes exactly the celebrations that apply to it.

  • Guests only see their celebrations, with timings, venue and dress code. They see nothing of the others.
  • A limit per invitation, and experimentally per celebration too.
  • A personal message on each invitation, for example when a celebration is planned without children.

Numbers for the hall

Counted per person. Added up per celebration.

The hall and the caterer charge per person. wedset counts RSVPs per person too, for each celebration separately.

  • Everyone replies to each celebration themselves, even within one family.
  • The age question per celebration counts babies, children and adults for the caterer.
  • The CSV export has one column per celebration, ready for the hall and the caterer.

Kız tarafı, erkek tarafı

Two families. One list.

Your parents invite their circle, you invite yours. Everyone works in the same list.

  • Parents plan with you

Invite them as organisers. With the Editor role they add guests and invitations but can’t delete anything.

  • Every side visible

Tag invitations kız tarafı or erkek tarafı. You always see how the list splits.

  • Replies by phone

If someone would rather call, they still get their seat: you enter the reply per person and celebration yourself. You see who’s still waiting for each celebration.

Line up both families’ expectations early

What your guests see

Only Kına guests see the Kına colour theme.

Every celebration gets its own dress code and its own schedule. Guests only see what belongs to their invitation.

  • Dress code per celebration: colours, a few lines of text and real example photos if you like. All optional.
  • Schedule items per celebration, so everyone knows when doors open and when it really starts.
  • You switch the dietary and age questions on or off per celebration.

Good to know

Questions about planning a Turkish wedding.

We invite whole families. How do we get a real headcount for the hall?

One invitation is one household, and everyone in it replies to each celebration themselves. “Yılmaz Ailesi” turns into, say, four yes for the Düğün and two for the Kına. You export the list for the hall and the caterer.

Can the Kına and the Düğün have different guests?

Yes. Each invitation only shows the celebrations you pick for it. For families coming to both, there’s an experimental limit per celebration, like the whole family for the Düğün and two people for the Kına.

Can our parents add their own guests?

Yes, as organisers with the Editor role. Tag invitations kız tarafı or erkek tarafı and you’re all looking at the same list. Who gets invited is still something you decide together.

Not everyone answers the LCV. Does wedset remind guests?

No, wedset doesn’t send messages. You see who’s still waiting for each celebration and resend their personal link yourself, ideally one to one rather than in the family group.

Our grandparents don’t use links. Printed cards anyway?

Yes. The Davetiye stays, and each envelope gets the reply card with that household’s QR code. Whoever scans it can reply for the whole family.

Is the guest page available in Turkish?

No, the guest page is available in German and English. Your own texts, like celebration names, descriptions and the message on each invitation, can be in Turkish. Buttons and the form stay German or English.

How do we say “no children” without offending anyone?

Only on the invitations it applies to, with a personal message and a matching limit. Where children are welcome, ask their age per celebration and the caterer gets the number.

We’re celebrating again in Turkey in the summer. Do we need a second list?

No. Add it as its own event with date, place and schedule, and pick it only on the invitations that belong there. Flights, hotels and visa paperwork are organised outside wedset.

The Davetiye comes later. The list can start today.

Add the first celebration and the first families.
